HULA HOOP

A hula hoop craze is swirling around in Los Angeles — why not here at home?  It's easy and all you need is a little room for your hoop:

1) Use the right stance.
2) Stand with one foot in front of the other, hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, and tuck in your pelvis. Then shift your weight from one leg to the other.
3) Choose music with a varied tempo so you can practice both fast and slow speeds.
4) Get the kids in on it

GO ICESKATING

Once you get started with ice skating, you’ll want to do it again and again.
