PRESCHOOLERS
Pilgrim Hat
What You Need:
• Construction paper (large size in black, regular size in white and yellow)
• Scissors
• Glue
• Tape
What You Do:
• Take a large piece of black construction paper and cut two strips about two or three inches wide (this will be the band that goes around your child's head).
• With another large piece of black construction paper, cut out a rectangle that is just a little bit longer than the width of your child's head (this will be the brim of the hat).
• Grab another piece of black construction paper and cut a rectangle out with one end tapered to be smaller than the other end (this will be the top of the hat).
• Cut out a white band two inches wide that is the same width of the biggest end of your top of the hat piece.
• Cut out a yellow square that is four-by-four-inches.
• Cut out a white square that is two-by-two-inches.
• Glue the top of the hat to the brim of the hat.
• Glue the black band to go around the head to the middle of the brim of the hat going horizontally.
• Glue the white band onto the top of the hat just above the brim.
• Glue the yellow square in the center of your white band.
• Glue the little white square on top in the center of the yellow square.
• Set aside to dry.
• Once dry, hold up to your child's head and wrap the band around his head and tape (you can trim off excess, too).

• Non-toxic poster paint (brown, yellow, orange, red)

Indian Vest
What You Need:
• Large Paper Bag
• Scissors
• CrayonsWhat You Do:
• Crumple the paper bag completely, scrunching it up, anything to get lots of wrinkles (this also softens the bag to look like fake leather).
• Take your scissors and cut down the middle of the front of the bag all the way down to the edge of the bottom.
• Once you get to the bottom, cut out a circle from the bottom for the opening to go around your neck.
• Cut long ovals down the sides of the paper bag starting from the edge of the bottom (this will be for your arms to go through).
• Once you have all the parts cut out, reverse the bag so that any printed sides are now on the inside.
• Color the outside now with animals, leaves, anything you wish.
Thankful Tree

• Large Brown Construction Paper
• Regular size construction paper in red, orange and yellow

What You Do:
• Take your large brown construction paper and cut out the trunk of a tree with branches.
• With your different colors of construction paper, trace your hand many times and cut them out.

Indian Headdress
What You Need:
• White paper plates
• Stapler
• Glue
• Construction Paper
• Red crayon
What You Do:
• Cut a paper plate exactly in half.
• Take one half and color a red border about one inch in from the rounded side and about 2 inches wide (don't color on the straight side).
• Cut out many feathers from your construction paper in red, yellow, orange and brown.
• Glue some feathers on the under side around the rounded side of the the paper plate that has the red border (not along the straight side).
• Glue feathers in layers on the entire top side of the other half paper plate that is full white as this will be the backside.
• Set all aside to dry.
• Once they are dry, line the plates up back to back with the straight edge on the bottom and staple and the corner. For older children, you can disregard step 5 and just add a band of paper to go around their head.

What You Need:
• Paper Plate
• Scissors
• Glue
• Ribbon
• Hole Punch
• Leaves
What You Do• Gather up many leaves of all different colors and sizes.
• Take a paper plate and cut out the middle of it so that there is only about a two-inch border.
• Start taking the leaves one by one and glueing them onto the plate.
• Once your plate is filled and you have your wreath, take the hole punch and punch a hole in the top about half an inch down.
