Summer’s dog days bring an increase of bug bites and stings, not to mention sunburns, if your child is unprotected. Home remedies can provide relief, but always call your doctor (or go right to the ER) if your child shows signs of an adverse reaction, like swelling, a rash or ring around a spider bite or difficulty breathing.

Bee Stings and Spider Bites:

• Gently remove any stingers with clean tweezers. Wash the bite area with soap and water two to three times a day until healed.
